The theme refers to the recurring imagery of the artist, the male human figure, classical, mystical and primordial.
It represents a torso resting, stuck in time, static, cold and severed, like a statue. Its history is hidden.
The composition fixes the torso to the bottom of the canvas, the lines contour and contradict the position of the central figure, the expressiveness of the color and the spot of the background softens the pressure, creating space. The space that your story does not tell.
